Responsibilities:

The Principal RTL Design Engineer will adopt the following responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to inform technical decision-making and planning at a company level
  • Take responsibility for the successful and timely delivery of projects by providing technical leadership and by applying skills and expertise
  • Provide managerial leadership or mentoring to aid the development of junior colleagues
  • Develop policy and process to enable efficient use of resource
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the architecture, design, development, verification and documentation of our IP
  • Develop RTL implementations of electronics systems for communication, using SystemVerilog
  • Develop test benches for RTL implementations of electronics systems for communication, using SystemVerilog

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent)
  • 15+ years of experience in relevant field in the industry
  • EDA tools for simulation and synthesis (Mentor Graphics ModelSim, Altera Quartus, Xilinx Vivado, Synopsys DC, Cadence Genus)
  • AXI interfacing
  • Timing and hardware resource optimisation for high throughput data or signal processing applications
  • C/C++/Matlab prototyping for design and verification

  • Integrate software and hardware implementations of wireless communication signal processing into open-source reference systems, such as FlexRAN, O-RAN and Open Air Interface.
  • Architect software solutions, with a focus on enabling code reuse, collaboration, support and maintenance.
