AccelerComm’s 5G NR LDPC solutions are optimised for the specific needs of the 5G standards to provide market leading performance and efficiency. The product suite includes complete encoder and decoder IP that delivers increased hardware and power efficiency for one of the most critical components of the physical layer, whilst performing to all the 3GPP specified throughput and error correction targets. The Flexible IP packages can be quickly integrated into FPGA or ASIC.
Born out of Southampton University, AccelerComm has an advanced research department led by Professor Rob Maunder, which works to implement innovative algorithms and unique architectures that maximize signal performance, such as a 0.8dB improvement in decoder performance for typical NTN channel conditions and configuration for virtually no error floors to reduce latency and HARQ retries.

Our patented polar encoding and decoding IP for the 3GPP 5G NR uplink and downlink includes the entire processing chain, to provide quick and easy integration and minimize the amount of extra work needed. The polar core uses PC- and CRC-aided SCL polar decoding techniques, in order to achieve compromise-free error correction performance.
Our decoding IP has several parameters, which can be adjusted at synthesis-time to scale the parallelism, latency and throughput. The decoder list size can be set in order to best fit the required application.
